NO RESERVE!!! A 1966 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350H is worth 6 figures today. THE 2006 SHELBY GT-H IS THE "RAREST" CURRENT SHELBY MUSTANG. With only 500 produced, it is more "RARE" than the upcoming GT500KR. It is the 40th anniversary of the GT350H. It's an automotive icon, everyone knows a HERTZ MUSTANG. No one knew you can buy one, amaze other car enthusiasts and Mustang owners when you are driving this beauty. Mr.Shelby is 85 years old, his cars appreciate in value every year no matter how well the economy is. Shelby Mustangs are considered a Blue Chip Investment you can drive. NadaGuides already has 2006 GT-H values listed between $73,000 and $89,600. There will not be a better time to pick up one of these Shelby's for the prices they are going for today. They are the most inexpensive Shelby Mustang today with the most potential $$$ increase in the future!! As we see cars being auctioned at Barrett Jackson, the cars that bring the highest $$$ are cars that are fully documented. I have obtained all of the Hertz Documentation regarding #149 including original documents laminated such as MSO, Window Sticker, Shelby Invoice, and copy of Hertz Title and bill of sale from Ford Dealer,. You will also get a MotorTrend Magazine with the Shelby GT-H as a cover story, Custom Hertz Binder that keeps all documentation together. I have registered this Shelby on the Shelby Registry and I am awaiting more documentation including dash plaque, key chain, etc. If Shelby has not sent out this info before the car sells, the new buyer will be able to register this car himself thru Shelby. I bought #149 back in January 2008 from a Ford Dealership that bought this car from Hertz at a Dealer Auction. All Hertz Shelby's were sold to Ford Dealers thru auction. #149 still has remaining 3/36 warranty, and is in excellent condition including the stripes. Even the Sirius Satellite radio still works. Summer 2007 I rented a GT-H for Pebble Beach weekend. Driving this car thru the mountain roads in Northern California was a blast as it handles like it is on rails. It feels much more powerful than 25hp increase in horsepower and the way it sounds is awesome. So I told myself I had to buy one which I did, #149. Why am I selling. Really dont want to sell it, but out of all of the cars I have currently (Viper GTS, Prowler, SSR, NSX, 911 are my other cars), the GT-H is the odd car out as I cant drive them all and the wife wants her Escalade back in the Garage. I know I will be kicking myself in the future for selling the GT-H.
What makes a 2006 Ford Mustang Shelby GT-H special:
In a throwback to the famed Shelby GT350H 'Rent-A-Racer' program from the 1960s, Ford Motor Company, Shelby Automobiles and The Hertz Corporation are partnering to produce a special run of performance-modified Ford Mustang GTs - designated Shelby GT-H, for 'Hertz' - that will be available for rent later this spring exclusively through Hertz. Approximately 500 units will be available through the Hertz Fun Collection at select airport locations Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. To connect the magical past of the original Sheby GT350H with the modern capabilities of the new Ford Mustang, Shelby, Ford and Hertz have again teamed up, and - together with the Ford Racing Performance Group - have given the 2006 Ford Shelby GT-H a very classic, muscular look as well as some true performance credentials. Like its predecessor, the 2006 Ford Shelby GT-H will be instantly recognizable - thanks to several eye-catching styling enhancements that are so much a part of the Shelby Mustang heritage. First and foremost, each Shelby GT-H will wear Black exterior paint set off with Gold racing stripes, a hallmark of Hertz’s vehicle history dating all the way back to the 1920s. While it's true that the Shelby GT350H was eventually made available in other color combinations, the Black-and-Gold combo is often referred to as 'Hertz colors' by most Mustang aficionados. Shelby’s traditional Le Mans dual overbody racing stripes are combined with a set of rocker stripes that include special 'Shelby GT-H' nomenclature. Each car will also wear a Hertz Edition emblem on the front fenders, and feature Hertz Shelby GT-H sill plates and a numbered dash badge with Carroll Shelby’s signature inside the cockpit." All Shelby GT-H's are built at the Shelby Vegas Headquarters unlike the current Mustang GT500 which is built at Ford. Shelby buys Mustang GT's from Ford and has them shipped to Vegas for the conversion. Most car enthusiasts consider these GT-H's as REAL SHELBY'S that are true to their heritage. |
